Joining our school

Choosing the right school for your child is an important decision. We encourage families to get in touch and get to know us. A conversation is often the best place to start, and we are always happy to arrange a meeting, either at the school or online.

Our school is intentionally small. Each class has 20 places, which allows us to maintain a calm, structured learning environment where every child is known and supported. Because of this, some classes may occasionally be full and operate with a waiting list.

A good relationship between school and home is essential for a child to thrive.

First contact

Families begin by contacting us. We usually arrange an introductory meeting or interview, either in person or online. This gives us the opportunity to get to know each other and answer any questions.

Visit or application

For families living locally

We recommend visiting the school. Meeting in person helps families experience the atmosphere of our school and understand how we work. You will meet our staff and the rest of the students. They are cute, you will see!

For international families

You can begin the process by sending the application form together with relevant information about the student’s current school

Trial week

Whenever possible, students are invited to spend a trial week at SIS. During this time they take part in lessons with their class and experience the daily rhythm of the school.

The trial week allows teachers to observe how the student settles academically and socially, and it also helps the student (and you!) decide whether the school feels like the right place.

Waiting lists

Because each class has al imited number of places, some year groups may be full. When this happens, families are placed on a waiting list until a place becomes available. Places are normally offered according to the date of application.

But even if the class is full, we are always happy to meet families and introduce the school.
